Dear colleagues,
This is an information about visa procedure and permission to visit restricted objects in Russia.
Visa
In general now it is easier for foreign journalists to get Russian visas because of the new regulation which simplifies entry standards in Russia for some categories of visitors.
Journalists do not need an invitation as it was required earlier but statement of the editor-in-chief, press card or other document which proofs necessity of journalist visit to Russia.
Bu we strongly recommend in good time to check a full list of required documents in the Russian diplomatic institutions abroad: nearest consulates or embassies.
If needed, we can send an invitation on behalf of Murmansk Journalist Union. I am not sure that it really helps, different diplomatic institutions give us controversial information, but we can try. For the invitation we need:
Name, media, date and place of birth, passport number, validity.
Furthermore, the second day of the conference will be held on board of a nuclear ice-breaker.
BPI arranges visit to the object with the special restrictions: stately enterprise “Atomflot” . Necessary data and passport copy should be sent 55 days in advance, i.e. by 19 March.
Scanned passports copy to be sent to the national boards
Russia: Anastassia Yakonuk, anastassia_i@mail.ru
Norway: Nordisk Informasjons kontor, nordinfo@barentsnett.no
Sweden: Erland Segerstad, erland@fotograferland.nu

You do not need an accreditation for the days of the conference, only visa.
We will assist you in all practical thing , do not hesitate to take contact with us
